Hi, I'm Catherine - the creator of Give Us A Paw.
We specialise in creating unique, beautifully crafted paw prints of your beloved pets. But for me, this little business is much more than artwork... it's a story that began years ago along quiet, breezy walks by the sea.
Those walks have always been my thinking place. Once the cobwebs clear, new ideas start to flow. I've always loved making things for friends and family - sentimental pieces with meaning behind them. That's how I found myself refining the simple but special process of taking hand and paw prints.
The Heart Behind It All - Jess
Everything truly came together because of our wee dog, Jess.
Jess was with us for 16 wonderful years - full of memories, mischief, and the kind of companionship only a dog can give. She came into our lives unexpectedly, during a time when our family was going through heartbreak. But there she was, waiting for us every day, becoming the queen of the back roads... and every bed and sofa in the house.
When Jess passed almost two years ago, she left a huge gap in our family. It was then that we realised how precious her paw prints were. The sentimental value was immeasurable - something to hold onto when we needed to feel close to her again.
As time passed, it felt as though Jess kept nudging me toward something new. Little signs, little pushes, as if she was saying, "Go on... take the leap." And one night, the name simply arrived: Give Us A Paw.
Where we live, that's exactly how we talk our dogs - so it felt right.
A Gift That Lasts
Starting this business has been wonderful. Each time I hand over a paw print - whether it's for a cherished pet or one who has since passed - I see how much it means. It's an honor to create something so personal, something that brings comfort, joy, and lasting memories.
Jess may have started this journey, but every pet I meet along the way continues to inspire it.
